WOW! What an "Evening to Remember!"  Not only do we rate "1st in State", we are now "Number 1" in reunions not only in the state but possibly in the nation.

Thanks to 347 classmates, spouses and significant others that traveled near and far to rekindle friendships and created a new lifetime memory.

A champagne welcome greeted classmates as they received personalized name tags with high school graduation pictures to help identify one another as some appearances had changed a tad since 1966.  Check in included choosing dinner times and boat cruise times in ideal weather conditions on Lake Winnebago.

Exquisite appetizers were offered and enjoyed prior to the seating for a unique 3 course dinner as evidenced by the menu below created by the guest chef Donato Scotti. Our gracious host, TJ, explained each course on the menu so classmates could better understand the options and challenged them to select an offering they typically wouldn't experience.  The finest California wines were served at dinner and throughout the evening.  Capping the meal were extremely tasty specialty desserts in the pavilion tent as well as custard sundaes and cones available at the Leon's mobile truck.

The photo booth and flip book booth were equally popular providing instant strips of pictures and flip book pictures for a lasting memory of the gala.  Duane Canon's outstanding display and tribute to our veterans in the indoor pavilion was viewed and appreciated by all. Mary Frank Cogbill's original maps of Oshkosh 1966 adorned the entry way and allowed classmates to pin where they lived then and pin Oshkosh, Wisconsin and United States maps where they live now printing their names on the flag pins.  Period pictures of 1966 decorated the walls of the restaurant and pavilion.

Classmates shared stories, laughed and boogied the night away with Donovan, our California DJ.  A frequent refrain was, "We had more fun than we thought we would!"  The evening culminated with a spectacular Bartolata fireworks show over Lake Winnebago.

Classmates left with a gift bag that included a bottle of CLOS DE LA TECH wine, a twin disc CD of 81 songs from 1959-1965 and 123 songs from 1966-1969, and the 90 page hard cover book of pictures and stories of classmates if they submitted the same.

TJ's Harbor Restaurant staff were outstanding.  Kudos to Brad, Kristin, Mary and the entire crew.  Thanks to all who attended and helped make this night truly, "An Evening to Remember!"
